I am an unabashed book aficionado. I have over 1800 listening hours on just Audible alone. As an avid book reader with a busy and hectic life raising two boys, audiobooks have been my refuge. I listen whenever I can and even splurged on a waterproof case for my phone to listen in the shower… a place busy moms can find a few minutes of solace. Over the years, I have more than peeked into what makes a great story, author, editor, and narrator. As we all know, characters, especially those we follow in a series, become our family.
In the audiobook world, I have seen full on revolts of some very frustrated listeners whose author wasn’t able to maintain the same narrator throughout the series. Some narrators are able to portray the characters and story so well, they become the characters. Think of George Guidal, the intrepid voice of Walt Longmire, in the Longmire series or Davina Porter, the heroic Claire Randall, in the immensely popular Outlander series. An understanding and respect for all of these relationships is vital for the long-time success of a novel and its series.
I am deeply passionate about all apsects of storytelling. It is with great pleasure I begin to introduce some of my own characters to you.
